I have and do use chalks. I inherited my moms old pastels and I need to try using them. I think they will work. They are sticks of chalk in all colors.

we keep ours the same all the time and our bill never changes. I think it is 68 or 69. It works out great for us. If the basement is cold we just use blankets in the theatre room and long sleeves otherwise.
I make it once a month for family dinners. I make cookies about once a month as well. DH likes ice cream after dinner. With my diabetes I can sneak ice cream in the middle of the day when I have time to exercise it off but never at night or it is not pretty.
