4/4/20 Mother Earth Challenge - Recycle

Join us all month long in April as we celebrate Mother Earth herself . . .by Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling. . . Reducing is cutting back on the amount of trash we make, reusing is finding a new way to use trash so that we don't have to throw it out, and recycling is using trash to remake new goods that can be sold again.

4/4/20 Mother Earth Challenge - Recycle

Post by Tracy F »

Join us all month long as we celebrate Mother Earth. Challenges will be based on reusing, reducing and recycling - whether it be in your personal life or with your scrapbooking supplies, focusing on finding new ways to use and repurpose items in our stash.......the possibilities are limitless…

For this challenge I decided to use some yellow netting I had kept from a bag of lemons. What can you find around the house that you can recycle into your scrapping?

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Wednesday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate to their online store of choice.

*any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

Now you've got my number , Tracy! I use this netting in all colors on LOs. You can use all sorts of things like pop pull tabs and a ribbon, peeling some corragated cardboard apart to make textured embellishments, twist-ties and even dry wall mesh which can be painted any color imaginable. My kids used to call me a trash picker because I was always looking through the trash can when they threw something away. LOL

Tamara, you would never believe all the household items available. My problem is that I'm an old Hippie from the late 60's and STILL gather this stuff up.

Here is mine. On the side, I added ribbon from the bow from my birthday flowers. More pictures from my birthday weekend with my kids. I miss them.

These are all so creative! I'm working on organizing my scrap room this weekend; hoping to take a break and do a bit of scrapping this afternoon. :)
