4/15/20-Mother Earth Challenge - Reuse

Join us all month long in April as we celebrate Mother Earth herself . . .by Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling. . . Reducing is cutting back on the amount of trash we make, reusing is finding a new way to use trash so that we don't have to throw it out, and recycling is using trash to remake new goods that can be sold again.

4/15/20-Mother Earth Challenge - Reuse

Post by Tracy F »

Join us all month long as we celebrate Mother Earth. Challenges will be based on reusing, reducing and recycling - whether it be in your personal life or with your scrapbooking supplies, focusing on finding new ways to use and repurpose items in our stash.......the possibilities are limitless…

My recycled product for this layout was a large B I had cut with my Cricut for a banner. For some reason I had cut out two. I almost threw it away but thought maybe someday I could use it. That day finally arrived! I covered the B in flowers and buttons and then used a bunch of Nuvo Drops all over it. By the way the B stands for my granddaughter Brylie.

So what do you have in your scrappy stash that you can reuse or recycle?

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Wednesday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate to their online store of choice.

*any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

Oh Tracy, I love the large monogram! You have inspired me! The bright colors are exactly what I need during this trying time. (Not to mention the overcast days that I hope will start to disappear!!!) Great job! I love this challenge.

Occasionally I purchase a grab bag of paper scraps from the LSS that are left over from card kits. The pieces are already cut to fit, you just have to create a use for them and make up your card. I just added some washi tape and the Congrats were left over just sitting in front of me from a Disney card swap I did last year.
