Join us all month long in September as we focus on all the things "circular" . . .flat and round things, spherical things, and even "round" things that've made their way into song titles. . . . the possibilities for inspiration are endless this month.
Be sure to post your LO back here to qualify for the random drawing prize of a $20 Gift Certificate to your favorite online store.
As you can probably tell from the title we are focusing on BUTTONS! Instead of a sketch we are doing a lift this week. I found this adorable LO on Pinterest...sorry, I don't know who the original artist is, but isn't the LO adorable? Please lift this LO using lots and lots of buttons.
On my lift I made the burst a full circle to stay with our round theme....you may choose to do that or not. I also picked up on the long title and the stitching.
Just a bit of trivia. I made this LO back in Aug. before I left on my Midwest Tour. I wasn't sure when I was leaving, how long I would be gone or when I would return home. The LO was on my desk, just a few feet from the laundry tub which has been being used as a kitchen sink during our remodel. Long story short, I came home to find something had been splashed all over the bottom white space. I ended up cutting out the design and putting it on another piece of cardstock which gave me the opportunity to have some fun with thread and give the background another layer of texture. Sometimes accidents work out to make something even better.
