dots, that is.

Did you know that polka dots on fabric originated in Germany in the mid-19th century during the period when polka music and dancing rose in popularity. The dots were originally called “thalertupfen” as they were the size of a thaler, which was German currency at the time.

So for this challenge I want you to add polka dots to your layout......here comes the twist, YOU CANNOT USE PATTERN PAPER. That's right, NO pattern paper. You can use a stamp, stencil or hand draw your polka dots.

As you know, a new Blue Plate Special challenge will be posted every Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. All participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

She said no pattern paper, but she didn't say we couldn't use ribbon for our polka dots. Also this finishes my trip album. YEA!!!

Here's mine! I used a Tim Holtz 'Bubble' Stencil to make my polka dots. :)
