Monday 9/14

Post by Jan Mosier »

Good morning ladies! What's on your plate today?

It's another stay at home day for me unless I get a message about some dishes I acquired about on Marketplace. Right now, I've got some dog laundry in the wash and I could probably run the broom vac over the floors, although I don't see any hair as I did that last night before I mopped. I'm sure by the end of the day it will happen. It's suppose to be another hot one today but will start to cool down some starting tomorrow.

Taking my online plan time right now and thought I'd check in. First official day of online teaching in a Google Meet. So far so good, but my dogs ALWAYS seem to bark right at start of the meetings. But also the time the Amazon/UPS/Fed Ex guy drives down my cul-de-sac....First world problems....

Have a good day everyone!

It's another hot and humid day here and it's supposed to rain this afternoon. We got quite a bit of rain yesterday too. I went for my walk and I was exhausted when I got home due to the humidity. I think I could've wrung some sweat out of my clothes if I tried! UGH!!!
Might run to the grocery store and then hope to scrap this afternoon.

Trying to put this weekends retreat projects away. I need more places to put things and why do the scraps build up so quickly?
Today I am packing supplies for the Teresa Collins Event in three days. Just hoping it all fits in one suitcase since I have three other carrying bags, one for my oxygen batteries and cords, my scrapbook tote with all my tools and a tiny cooler bag for my snacks. I bet you guys are all thinking you are glad that you don't have to haul your supplies anywhere and you can just scrapbook at home.
I'll try to get to todays challenge so I'm not behind by the weekend. We have perfect temperatures here this week, not too hot and not too cold.
Happy Monday!!

Enjoying my day off . . .got home around 8 o'clock last night from a trip that should have only taken a little over 6 hours, that turned into almost 9. I-95 was a nightmare yesterday, and based on the amount of people on the roads yesterday you would have never ever imagined that COVID19 was even a thing . . .accidents all over the place, people driving like maniacs, just complete craziness. . .I've made this trip many, many times before but yesterday was an experience and I was grateful to be home last night!

Any woo, I'm glad to be home, working on some laundry, and just enjoying my day. . .watched an epsiode or two of Supernatural this morning before even crawling out of bed, and now I'm trying to get some site work done. . .

No plans for the day, so I'm just playing it by ear, and doing what I think needs prioritized first!

So glad today is an easy day. Nothing going on after work, so I will get some scrapping time in again.

It's been a few days of non stop stuff. Just got home from a birthday party and taking a few minutes to catch up before I call it a day. Another busy day scheduled for tomorrow. Have a great evening!

Oh how we hated driving I-95! Our trips were from Florida up to Virginia or North Carolina. I can totally relate to how it was for you Tammy! I'm glad you got a day to relax before going back to work! Hope Jackie and the kids are doing well!

Not much happening here today. Steve spent most of the day helping Nick finish up his water filtration system project. I just puttered around the house. Cooked some vegetables for the geese and cleaned up my scrap table. Had to fill out a few papers for the new medication the allergist wants me to take. I had to look for some papers so that took time too. Then they called me later and I have a referral to an ear, nose and throat specialist in Ketchikan! That's totally awesome because I thought I'd have to go to Anchorage - 1,000 miles away and the hot spot in our state for the virus. I'm VERY happy about that! So I will give them a couple of days to call me and if they don't call I'll call them. I want to get better NOW! :)

We went out to see the bears at the salmon creek near our house. But we were too early so we missed them. Thousands of seagulls and pink salmon, but no bears and no eagles. Got a couple of pictures but nothing great. It was nice to get out and walk a bit. :)

Realized today that I'm 3 weeks behind in my 6x6 class instead of just 2 weeks. When my printer ran out of ink it really messed me up so much that I lost all my mojo. I think it's back now. Printed a few pictures this afternoon so I'll be ready to play tomorrow. Gotta go to town first and get some groceries, a couple of packages and get my glasses fixed. I was trying to wrangle a goose back into the pen and it got caught in the net and the fence. I was trying to get it out and next thing I knew I was face planted on the ground rolling over and staring at hissing geese! I'm sore and a bit bruised but I'm fine thank God. My glasses are quite crooked which is difficult when you're wearing trifocals! :) Hopefully they can fix them for me. :)

Steve will work on sorting cabinets tomorrow so I may have my scrap room cabinets installed in a day or two! And maybe kitchen cabinets too! OMG! So exciting!!! :)

Have a wonderful Tuesday!
