In the air there's a feeling of Christmas. Whether it's a fresh tree, a candle burning, cookies backing or a fireplace burning there are scents that fill us with the wonder of home and family.

Here's a goodie to make to use for yourself or give as a gift.

Simmering Potpourri

You will need one 1 oz. can of cinnamon sticks broken into small pieces, one 1.12 oz. can whole cloves, one 1.25 can whole allspice, and an airtight container to store the potpourri in.

Mix the spices.
Place 1 heaping tablespoon of potpourri and one 1/2 cup of water in a simmer pot or simmer it in a pan on the stove ( make sure your water doesn't boil away.]

That must smell so good! I have scented candles burning and potpourri stashed around the house. That reminds me....I have some scentsicles somewhere that I need to find.

I have made that potpourri before. Smells wonderful! I have several candles burning lately. :)
