Since I asked about eggs yesterday. . .let's continue on with breakfast items.

Grits -

Have you tried them? Do you like them? Is it a Southern thing?

I'm from the SOUTH. I love grits. . .lots of butter and salt, or with cheese & crumbled bacon and/or sausage. Love them.

When I moved to PA a few years back, most people I talked to had never even heard of them, and the only place that I could even get them was at Denny's before 2:00 pm. Luckily the grocery store sells them.

Unfortunately G like the instant cheddar cheese grits, and no one carries them here, so when Jackie comes to visit she brings them for him, or we randomly get care packages from family members down south.

I don't like grits at all....never have, never will. Dh loves them so he always gets mine when we go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and I get his fried apples.

Okay I hear about Grits in movies or books.... but I have no idea what they are!!

Love grits......especially with cheese and bacon! I sometimes have them for dinner.
