RQOTD 11/12

Post by Jan Mosier »

Since yesterday was Veterans Day, my question is, do you have a family member that served in the military?

I have several generations of veterans in my family. My late husbands grandfather served in WW1, great uncle also in WW2 and Korean War, his dad in WW2 and the Korean War, a uncle that photographed WW2 and Jack served during Vietnam.

My husband served in Vietnam, my cousin did too. My Dad joined up near the end of WWII but was discharged before he finished training since the war ended. He never considered himself a Vet but the government did.

My grandfather served in the Air Force and Army. He was at D-Day during WWII. He retired from the Air Force. My ex-husband was in the Marines and we were stationed in Hawaii for 4 years.
