Random QOTD - June 21st, 2020

Post by tammyfolk »

Happy Father’s Day.

Think back to when you were a child. . . What was the absolute best gift that you remember giving your dad. Was it something homemade, or did the whole family pitch in and buy him a new tie, new shirt, or wallet? Inquiring minds want to know.

Scrapbooking....is there really anything else?

I wasn't a child, but a young adult. I remember we bought my dad some waders. He put them on and then got into the pool ti try them out

Do we have to go back that far? haha When we were kids it was the homemade cards that he loved the most. Our budding artwork in check.
In my teens it was a new wallet. It my latter married like it was a lineage plague that my friend engraved with his direct line back to the early 1800's
This year it is cash! He really doesn't need anything but love and visits. And since his birthday is always the week after Fathers Day he always gets a double dose! :D

I don't remember giving anything. Mother's Day wasn't official until 1972 so I don't think there was the emphasis put on it when I was a kid. Who knows?

I don't remember giving Dad anything as a kid. Maybe it was because we were never together on Father's Day. We lived overseas and Mom and I came back to the states in early June while Dad stayed over there to work.

I can't really think of any present that does stick out either.
