Jan 25th - Out with the old - sketch

Post by Wendy »

Good morning! I hope you are ready for another oldie but goodie!

Join us all month long in January as we post challenges with the focus of scrapping with our unused stash!

Let's face it, we all have a scrappy stash …. things that we are hoarding, forgot we had, never got around to using … yeah, you know you have it, too!

So join us as we say “OUT WITH THE OLD . . . IN WITH THE NEW!”

Here is a Rewind sketch from Sketch N Scrap:

And here is my take on it:

I used up some scraps from an older We R Memory Keepers kit.

I hope you'll play along!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

I used this old piece of pinecone press paper. Wish I could of used some of the back side too. It was big yellow, red and black flowers but too busy for this layout.

Here's mine based on the sketch and using Carta Bella papers and old Rusty Pickle Alphas. :)

I used Basic Gray 2009 Basics line, clear alphas with alcohol ink, and nail heads from my stash. My 13-year-old grandson built 2 meat smokers from 50-gallon drums, one to use and one to sell to recoup his costs. I have had brisket from this smoker and it was delicious!
