Just wondering how everyone has met scrappy people in their cities/towns.

Eight or 10 years ago, we had a nice little scrapbook store in my town in Illinois with Friday night crops and Saturday classes. I got to know several other scrapbookers. The store only lasted a couple of years though. There is a very small scrap and stamp store here in Pueblo; I've gone to a couple of classes but the ladies were very clique-ish and I didn't feel welcome. (The manager is nice though). There is a beautiful store in Colorado Springs but it's an hour away, classes are hard to get into (owner signs up her regulars first). I have a hard time breaking into a new group.

I meet new people all the time. Our local classes and retreats bring different people as well as the die hard friends I've had held onto the regulars as friends. I also have scrapping friends that I encourage to join me at the classes and retreats. I have also talked on facebook with lots of the friends. Not only local, last year I went to the doodlebug retreat here in Salt Lake City and met people from other states. We instantly clicked and became friends on facebook and have hooked up at crops since. I will be seeing them again the end of August as well.
Scrapbookers are the nicest people!! :D :D :D

I'm terrible at meeting new people and getting me to talking and we have no more LSS so no more crops, etc. I don't have any friends that are scrappers that live near me.
