Monday November 29 Sketch/Monkeys

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high . . . Join us all month long as we post Challenges based on the lyrics from Judy Garland's Signature Song - Over the Rainbow. All challenges will focus on a word or phrase from the song, with a additional element required.
Whenever I hear the song, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," scenes from The Wizard of Oz swirl through my head. So for this project, I decided to use a character from the movie as my inspiration...the flying monkeys!
For my flying monkeys project, I featured pictures of my oldest daughter when she was a tiny girl monkeying around at a local park climbing all over the playground equipment. My challenge to use this Monday is to create a project featuring monkeys. Maybe it's someone (like my daughter) getting into some monkey business at a park...Or perhaps you have a picture of someone you love "monkeying around" making faces for the camera...Also, since today is Sketch Challenge Monday, I additionally challenge you to create a project featuring this sketch created by the talented designer Rochelle Spears for Sketches in Thyme. I can't wait to see what you create!
Remember - A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.
