GRANDMA GINNY'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES: My Grandma Ginny was an outstanding cook! To this day, I have NEVER had a chocolate chip cookie better than hers. I have a feeling it was because of her secret ingredient; a box of vanilla instant pudding.
Ingredients:
BOWL 1: WET INGREDIENTS
2 sticks margarine or butter (not melty, but a little soft)
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 box instant vanilla pudding (must be instant) & is her secret ingredient!
2 eggs
*Mix all this together
BOWL 2: DRY INGREDIENTS
2 1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp baking soda
*Mix together these ingredients
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with foil.
2) Slowly start mixing together the wet and dry ingredients. I use a Kitchen Aid mixer, but a hand held mixer works just as well.
3) Add the chocolate chips as the wet/dry ingredients are mixing together
4) Put mixed together ingredients in the refrigerator to cool the batter for about 1/2 hour.
5) Once cooled, I put 12 cookies on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
6) Let cool and eat
YOUR SCRAPBOOK PROJECT: I am having you use 5 of the "ingredients" from my Grandma's cookies for your project today. Here we go!
1) RECIPE: Use the sketch below created by Bev Code for Sketches in Thyme as your layout "recipe."
2) REFRIDGERATE THE DOUGH: Create a project that features something cold. I chose a picture of my daughter in the snow.
3) CHOCOLATE CHIPS: Use buttons on your project
4) 2 STICKS OF BUTTER: Use 2 pictures
5) SECRET INGREDIENT VANILLA PUDDING: Add bling to your layout. I used a silver embellishment and pearls.
Here is my sketch and project.
I can't wait to see what you create!
