Do you start a layout on a plain color cardstock or do you have a pattern paper be your subject?
I mostly use colored cardstock but occasionally I like to use a pattern paper if it isn't too busy and matches the theme.

I like pattern paper for most of my layout but sometime I like color cardstock

It's either or for me . . .but I will say that I tend to use cardstock more times than not.

I use both depending on the pictures. I think I lean towards using more patterned paper.

It depends on the photo too, although my go to color of cardstock these days seems to be white.
