SQOTD 10/28/2019

Post by Greatgramof5 »

Hello everyone!
Just a simple scrapbook question this morning as I'm out nearly the entire day with things to do.

What techniques do you like to do and is there a technique that you would really like to try?

I like the look of paper tearing and really don't do enough. Inking is one of my favorites as well.
I really want to try parchment embossing and gotten as far as finding a "how to" and collected all the necessary materials except for the white ink marker. I plan a trip to Hobby Lobby this weekend to pick one up.

What techniques do you like to do and is there one you are eager to try?

I am curious about watercolor backgrounds but I don’t know if I will ever try it.

My favorite technique right now is mixed media backgrounds. I love getting messy with gesso, modeling paste, paints, mist, gelatos etc.
I would like to get the hang of coloring with markers and pencils. I've got all the stuff for it but it intimidates me. I've signed up for some free classes at Kit and Clowder but only tried the basic lesson and it wasn't pretty. It looked like something a little kid would do but I'm determined to keep working at it and hopefully I'll get better.

I love the chalking look and use it often. I really want to do more with Nuvo . I love the 3D glossy look that it gives your stickers and things.

I dabble in everything. If I see something I like I give it a go.
