Today I am sharing a scallop potato recipe that Kyle and I love.

Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

3 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced

½ onion, thinly sliced

9 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided

6 tablespoons butter, diced and divided

salt and ground black pepper to taste

3 cups whole milk, or as needed

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Spread about 1/3 of the potato slices into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Top with about 1/3 of the onion slices. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons flour over the potato and onion. Arrange 2 tablespoons butter atop the flour. Season the entire layer with salt and pepper. Repeat layering twice more.

Heat milk in a saucepan until warm. Pour enough warm milk over the mixture in the baking dish so the top of the liquid is level with the final layer of potatoes.

Bake in preheated oven until potatoes are tender, 45 to 60 minutes.

Here's my layout for this challenge.

And here is the layout recipe.

3 pounds of potatoes - use 3 different patterned papers.
1/2 onion thinly sliced - I want to see some layering on your layout.
9 tbsp. flour - for this ingredient I want to see lots of white space.
6 tbsp. butter, diced and divided - use the color yellow or 6 or more of something on your layout. I stamped the stars.
salt and ground black pepper - the color black or some type of misting.
3 cups whole milk - Add circles to your layout. I created mine using the bottom of a cup, you can create your circles however you choose.

The three pattern papers and layers are the background. They are actually patterned but being dark it is hard to see.
