I think this months challenge theme is one of my favorites. I could use things in my stash for a VERY long time! I don't know about you but I tend to gravitate to items left over on my scrap table before I check other places. It is amazing to me how many times I have something sitting right next to me that all of a sudden goes with the layout I am creating.
For todays challenge I used left over paper and made my own banner pieces, then I went through my button container and sorted out several red buttons that gave a spark to my layout. Your challenge is to make banners and buttons in any way, shape or form and place them on your creation.
It was so fun to make this layout for Miss Kenadees book. I actually had an amazing talk with her a few weeks ago while I was visiting my Dad. We went out to walk the dog and we had such a good conversation about her mom. She is 13 now and I shared with her my conversation with her mom just four days before she passed away, where I promised her I would scrapbook Kenadees young years since she wasn't going to be here to do it. It was a tender conversation and I shared all of my impressions and special moments that I was able to have with her and how grateful I was to be in her life how much i enjoy doing things with her. The next day she thanked me for telling her all those things. My new SIL is a good person and has done a good job raising her but she didn't know her mom and can't have those moments with her. I'm glad that I am able to have this connection to her.
Can't wait to see your creations!
