July 2023 - the Brady Bunch

Join us all month long as we celebrate the large, blended family of six children, known as the Brady Bunch. The family that everyone knows and loves! Groovy!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

For today's challenge select 6 papers--3 light for the 3 blond girls and 3 dark for the dark haired boys and create a background using a repeated shape other than the Brady Bunch grid and because we are focusing on The Brady Bunch this month please include a picture of a family...if you don't have one that's ok. Please think of retro colors while you focus on picking out your papers.

This is great! I'm having a hard time with this challenge, so you've inspired me!

I just finished this one! Oy vey, I had such a hard time, but I love the result. It was hard for me to pick "light" and "dark" papers, so I just took a cue from your layout and chose patterns with white backgrounds as my "light" papers. Can't wait to share what I made (I'll upload at the end of the month).
