Join us all month long as we visit the historical period of the American Frontier in the late 19th Century, characterized by lawlessness, violence and most importantly, adventure.

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Families were all traveling west together to the Wild Wild West. Parents, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. They worked together to get the chores done, take care of the animals and children. They had to wash and repair clothes and quilts.

Monday is Sketch Challenge Day. You will start with this sketch from Sketch N Scrap. Use photos of families, especially babies. Also include patterned paper to represent the quilts. Also some thread since I am sure there was lots of mending to the clothes that they wore day after day.

Here's mine using Family Photos, Patterned Paper, and Thread for the Buttons. :)

I needed to add an extra photo so added to the top.

Photos of our family at Lucy's 8th Grade Night for Volleyball, October 2022. :)
