Welcome to the Wild, Wild West - where this town ain't big enough for the both of us . . .
Join us all month long as we visit the historical period of the American Frontier in the late 19th Century, characterized by lawlessness, violence and most importantly, adventure.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing)
For today’s challenge, we are putting on our boots with the spurs! In addition to using the latest sketch over at Sketches in Thyme, you’ll need to use a brown/black/tan background to represent the leather boots & something metallic for the spurs.
For my sample, I used a Kraft base and added a few teensy brads for my metal item. I also flipped the sketch over. Have fun creating!

I got home tonight and saw this and decided to tackle the challenge. Trying to finish up some gift albums.

Here's mine based on the sketch along with using a brown background, My metal elements are 2 football brads, 2 mini-brads, and 2 photo turns.
Photos of sweet grandson Evan playing football. I love that his team always run out on the field with the American flag. He's carrying it on this day #84. (November 2022)

My metal is the rhinestone brads - they have metal rims. Also used gold hearts.
