Nov 23 Challenge: Old Winter Lines

Post by Krystle »

At Cookin' Up Creations we are giving thanks to those companies who are not around in our scrapping lives any more. I created a layout using discontinued scrapbooking manufacturer Little Yellow Bicycle's Winterings line. For my second CUC challenge this month, I would like you to either create a layout using Little Yellow Bicycle products or you can use any old scrapbooking line that has a winter theme.

You can see all of CUC's challenges on their forum. A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' Up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

*Any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

So I scoured my stash and I truly had trouble finding winter papers which is weird since we spend 5 or more months a year with snow on the ground. I don't usually get a lot of winter pics either. But I did find an old Bo Bunny Winter scrap and went through my scrap paper drawer and pulled out TONS of scraps to use as layers behind my photo so that was awesome. No new paper sheets used here except the background white!

I found some winter/Christmas paper from three or four years ago. My youngest daughter's kids had a fun afternoon after the Dinosaur Discovery Museum in Kenosha, WI. The museum has a replica of a dino skeleton that was found and recovered in the area and some fun exhibits and activities.

ok this was a hard one! I didn't have any winter line paper from old companies. This is from Frances Meyer and Making Memories. I just used old sticker sheets to add character.
