Feb 26 - Tear Those Scraps

Post by Tracy F »

For February we are focusing on all the things we love . . .our families, our pets, food, and even our scrapbook supplies! The options are literally never ending!!
We're also going to continue with the "scrap your stash" mindset and continue using things that we have on hand . . .

So my challenge is to use 1 photo of someone or something you love and then pull out all those scraps. I know you’ve got a pile….we all do! I also want to see some torn edges.

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate to their online store of choice.

*any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

Another awesome challenge, Tracy! Tearing is a favorite technique and I LOVE how it looks especially against dark paper. I find that I hardly ever use this technique myself completely forgetting it.

Awesome LO! I love all the colors and the stencil you used that looks like old pp that has had words cut out of it. What a great idea for using the actual pp's that have been cut out in this way. Very inspiring! I must try it myself. I've wondered how I could use up this type of old paper. Thanks for the idea.

Perfect! My little anime'-niac, Anna, sent me some phone pics of herself and a couple of friends from the Anime' event last week. I'm sure there will be at scrap-worthy photo of my girl in there. (Anna is really artsy; we used to make Disney character pages for her scrapbook when she was younger. Her anime' drawings are pretty good too. She likes to write stories and draw art to go with them.
