Mad About Sketches Challenge 5-10-2017

Post by BarbP » Wed May 10, 2017 5:38 am

Throughout May, Cookin' Up CreaTions is MAD ABOUT SKETCHES! Each Wednesday and Saturday in May, you will find a challenge featuring a sketch by Rochelle Spears. All Mad About Sketches challenge entries must be completed and posted no later than June 3 to be eligible for the monthly prize.

For this week's challenge, I want you to "get outside" and "get messy"! Use outdoor photographs on your entry, and use paint, mist, splatters or stamping on your background.

You also will use this sketch by Rochelle:

You may resize the sketch and it's fine to flip or rotate it, as long as we can still recognize it when we look at your project.

This is my take on the challenge:

I used a piece of natural bath sponge to apply acrylic paint thinned with a little water foe the background. I also spattered blue paint.

Can'r wait to see your creations!

Thanks, Lori and Tammy! Mike took those photos last spring, This sketch is a fun one; I hope a few people will give it a try.

I'm hoping to play along, but it may be the middle of next week before I get a chance!

I tried the splatter thing again. I used Twinkling H2O's. Like this one much better than previous attempts.

For my "messy" I randomly stamped a woodgrain pattern paper with 2 stamps and three colors of green.
