Work this morning, and then around 10:30 I'm supposed to be getting a pre op clearance phone call for Garrett. He'll be having his tonsils removed on the 13th.
If everything goes as planned, I'll be getting off at noon today as I work tomorrow. If we have call offs today, then I'll get over time and have to work the whole day, and then 4 hours tomorrow.....won't know for sure until I get to work today.
Jackie has decided to stay through the weekend which is great for me!! Hoping now that I do get off early today! Crossing fingers!!
No big plans here. My legs and feet have been really hurting, so I've been staying close to home this week. Mom needs her blood sugar levels checked though (she's "pre-diabetic") so if the weather is good (no wind please!) we need to get that done. She needs her hair cut, but she fell two weeks ago and put a bump on her head; it's still tender, so it mighty not be good to have a stylist messing with her head yet. She also has been losing weight, which isn't good. She eats, but never has been a big eater. We need to talk about that with her dr.
Our roles are reversing: I am her caretaker and parental role. When I was a kid, I used to think if I were grown up I would boss my parents around. Well here we are, and it's no fun at all. But we have our good times too, and we are able to keep her in our home instead of a nursing care facility.That could change, but we're fine for now.
Since Dylan had surgery and got his feeding tube, I am not sleeping. I think I just need to get use to hi's feeding running at night. I worry I won't hear the machine beep if there is a problem.
Today no appts. So as soon as I catch up on board I am taking a nap.
