Good morning ladies....

Busy and sad day here today....work for me, then taking G to get cpx for his permit (finally) and then a band booster meeting at 7:00 pm. Sadly, Jackie and Everly are also leaving today.....I just wish they'd move here already. I'm afraid based on a job that Austin just accepted in Greenville, SC, that that will not be happening.....uuughh!!

So what all do you guys have planned for today?

Hi ladies! I'm so glad to be home from my trip. It was terrible. I got to Oxford to find out that daughter and fiance have been having problems and he tried to break up with her, then said they just needed to postpone the wedding. They said they just didn't want to have an engagement party under the circumstances and so 24 hours before the party I was calling people to tell them it had been canceled. It's been a very hard, very emotional 4 days and I am beat.

Work and then baseball. Due to rain outs, we have to reschedule 6 games! The only day I have "off" is Thursday. Crazy...the hardest part is figuring out dinners.

Wanda, I'm so sorry about the weekend. That must have been a painfully difficult position to be in as a mom.

Mike and I planted some flowers yesterday in the space in your front yard where we took out the cottonwood tree that the landscapers had put in when our house was built. I bought plants my mom loves -- marigolds, zinnias, geraniums, and then some cute asters. They're nice and bright! Mom likes to take care of flowers and always had them in her yard when she lived in her own home. And Mike -- the guy who thought flower beds were a bother and an unnecessary annoyance -- has found he enjoys planting and tending them. Funny how retirement changes one's outlook!

I so understand! We had three playing, one was jv one varsity and one is a little league tbased team that used a pitching machine. Sad I was almost relieved when jv one got hurt and could not play

Wanda - so sorry you had a bad weekend.

It's been a non productive morning here. I can't seem to find my rhythm today. The dogs have been a pain in the a$$. We've have been playing door tag all day. I get one in and two goes out......oh, and the flies! They must have put manure on the fields across the road from us because the flies have been terrible the last couple of weeks. We have a few errands that we need to run in town so I better get off here and crate the dogs.

So: I've been trying to clean up the scrap room and clean out the guest room closet. The time has flown by but it's more of a mess than it is clean! you know how that is! So I'm tired. I've made progress but garbage day is not until Wednesday. Trash and boxes are all over the place.

That being said - does anyone want some large ribbon? I have two rolls of 2.5 inch burlap ribbon with red and blue chevrons on it. It would be nice for 4th of July. Also a roll of satin type navy with a red strip down the middle (/also 2.5 inch). I have a roll of sparkly pink, sparkly lavender, and sparkly silver (all 2.5 in) and a roll of navy with pink flowers (also 2.5 inch). I'll give it away if you will pay to ship! Probably about $10....

Okay, I am headed back in to the closet. About to throw away some stuff that daughter wouldn't let me throw away if she knew I was doing it! Ha Ha - she will never miss it.
