I used two brushes—a wide, flat one and a #5 round one — and painted the background. I used wide brushstrokes for the sky and sand. While the sand watercolor was still wet, I went back and stippled it with the flat brush. I used the round brush to create the clouds using a C stroke and an S stroke. The trees are my ovals, which I used watercolor pencils to give some depth.
