This is a simple challenge. All you need to do is gather up whatever type of pages you want in your book. For example, if you are doing a true junk journal you might want to collect junk mail envelopes, bags, music sheets, dictionary pages, book pages, pages from a kids book, receipts, old pamphlets and the like.

Next you want to fold your collections of papers in half.

Then put them together. Don't worry if some pages are smaller than others or they're tattered from ripping them out.....it's all part of the charm. You will need to trim them if they're too wide or too tall for your size journal, or you can fold them to create pockets.

Here I used a random assortment of papers that I have collected from thrift stores. If you want to use your cardstock and scrapbook paper to create a small journal/album, you can do so. I have done both.
