I'm sure this has been asked before, but....... How big does a scrap have to be for you to save it? How do you organize them?

I realized yesterday that I do just keep every little piece thinking I can use it. So when I was scrapping yesterday I purposely threw all small pieces away. It did give me a little anxiety at first and then I just let it go and realized that if I saved it I probably wouldn't find it when I "needed it"

It's got to be teeny tiny before I throw it away.

I’ve been catching up on old workshops and realized even tiny paper scraps can make a big difference. Now I think twice before tossing anything those little pieces can really come in handy! For example we made a paper clip decoration with a 1.5 inch by 1/4 inch paper.

My rule is 4x3. I have a box of 12x12 scraps, 4x6 and 3x4. I have so much paper that it isn't hard for me to just cut not one if I need to.

I organize them by color in manilla folders. I don't have a certain size to keep. It just has to big enough to use and whether I think I'll use it again. I go through and purge these about once a year.

I throw them all in a drawer, and when it is full, I load them up in a box and give them to a crafter who makes cards and does other paper projects.

My rule is 4 x 6 or larger. I store in zipper pouches by color.

I save just about all my scraps. I keep them in 2 paper folios, one for printed papers and one for cardstock.
