Here we come, walking down the street . . . ready to get groovy with some Monkees-themed scrapbooking fun? Whether you’re a Daydream Believer or just someone who loves a good creative challenge, we'll have you monkeying around with your scrapbook supplies in no time! Let’s dive into some Monkees-inspired scrapbooking challenges, based on ALL things Monkees - from their names, lyrics from their iconic songs, and their TV show.

Let’s get scrapping, Monkees fans! Whether you’re using vintage vibes, bright ‘60s colors, or a mix of modern and retro, let these themes bring a little extra joy to your scrapbooking journey. And remember—keep on Monkeeing around!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

This challenge is based on The Monkees song It’s Got To Be Love so your layout will be all about love.. You will need to use a photo or photos of something or someone you love along with 2 scrapbooking techniques you love to use on your layouts.

I used photos of my granddaughters along with my favorite techniques of stenciling for the brick background and the white splatters around the page.

I hope you're ok with non-mixed media techniques! One of my favorite things to do is to fussy cut titles and embellishments out of 4x6 and 3x4 cut apart papers. My title and my "yay" embellishment were fussy cut. Another technique is using washi as borders when I don't have the exact pp I want.
