What crafty adventure did you try for the first time this year? what technique is still sitting there whispering, ‘Try me next!’?

I cut shapes out of some "velum" and used it to stamp a background. The "velum" was from some folders I had. Maybe an old overhead sheet or a page protector.
I want to use my sewing machine. I did many years ago and have not done so in many years. I have a couple sewing machines so want to dedicate one to scrapbook sewing

I tried junk journaling this year. I don’t love it as much as I do scrapbooking but I enjoy it. I still have a lot to learn . I also made a lot of my own ephemera with stamps this year, and I would like to do more. I want to get as much use out of my supplies as I possibly can. And I want to use items that have been sitting awhile.

I don't pay much attention to the "new" techniques, so I'm not sure if I did one or not.
I did start printing my own layers on different types of papers and surfaces, which I will probably continue and explore some more.

This month I did some doodling on a scrapbook layout. Another technique I’ve been wanting to try for years is to use the ink pads to smear across the page.
