Grab your glitter, your photos, and your best “Vitameatavegamin” smile — because February is all about celebrating friendship, laughter, and a little lovable chaos… Lucy-style!

From chocolate-covered memories to heart-warming hijinks, we want to see pages that sparkle with humor, nostalgia, and classic sitcom charm. Whether you’re scrapbooking romance, mishaps, or moments that made you say, “Lucy, you’ve got some scrap-pin’ to do!” — this month it's all about having fun while you create.

So dust off those vintage vibes, channel your inner red-headed troublemaker, and let your creativity run wild (just… maybe not as wild as a conveyor belt full of truffles). Because around here, we don’t just scrapbook . . .

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay. I actually posted my project in the wrong spot...Anyway, welcome to a new month of challenges here at Cookin Up Creations! I'm kicking off the month of "I Love Lucy" challenges featuring my puppy Lila, affectionately known as Lila Lucille. Lila passed away four years ago, but we miss our "Lucy," the name we called her, every day. This picture was taken of my daughter and her Lila Lu three weeks before her passing. I love how happy both of them look. They were each other's best friend. My challenge to you today is to not only use the attached sketch featured last month at Sketch N Scrap, but to also create a layout featuring your favorite pet, in honor of my Lucille. As an added bonus, I challenge you to use a rainbow of colors on your project. I chose to use rainbow papers as my background since my Lucille has crossed the rainbow bridge. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with to start off this month's challenge!

Here is the sketch...

Here's mine based on the Sketch. :)

Photo of sweet grandson Kellan sleeping with his doggie Bo. The grandkids are always cuddling up to Bo falling asleep in his dog bed. I think they find a great comfort in him. (January 2026) :)
Love This

Question for you! We don't have pets. Is it okay if I interpret the challenge loosely sand scrap stuffed animals or zoo animals, etc?

Go for it! The goal is to get LOs done, so sometimes we need to be flexible...and I know you will come as close as possible.

Not exactly a pet picture because I don't have many but it does tell a sweet story of our girl. She was pretty upset when George passed away Dec 18, 2024. He spent 48 years at Hogle Zoo. He was old and had toothaches that couldn't be treated without hurting his cancer. You can imagine how thrilled I was when I found this pic of him from years ago.
