Grab your glitter, your photos, and your best “Vitameatavegamin” smile — because February is all about celebrating friendship, laughter, and a little lovable chaos… Lucy-style!

From chocolate-covered memories to heart-warming hijinks, we want to see pages that sparkle with humor, nostalgia, and classic sitcom charm. Whether you’re scrapbooking romance, mishaps, or moments that made you say, “Lucy, you’ve got some scrap-pin’ to do!” — this month it's all about having fun while you create.

So dust off those vintage vibes, channel your inner red-headed troublemaker, and let your creativity run wild (just… maybe not as wild as a conveyor belt full of truffles). Because around here, we don’t just scrapbook . . .

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Grab your mixed media and channel your inner Lucy because this challenge is inspired by the unforgettable vineyard episode of I Love Lucy!

Sometimes life looks picture-perfect… and sometimes it feels like we’ve just stepped into a vat of grapes. Messy. Overwhelming. A little chaotic. But oh-so worth it.

For this challenge, I want you to scrapbook a moment that felt like stepping into your own “vineyard” such as a new beginning, a big change, or a season that felt overwhelming at first but turned into something beautiful.

Your layout must include:
• A mixed media, watercolor, or splattered background
• Purple or blue somewhere on the page
• Stars, as many as you like

Think new babies, first homes, first jobs, big moves, growing families, or even those everyday moments that turned into sweet memories later.

Because around here, we know that sometimes the messiest moments make the sweetest stories.

I can’t wait to see your lovable chaos!

For my example I used a picture of Jorge with the boys. Two tiny boys, one proud daddy, and a brand new chapter. It felt like stepping into something bigger than us! It was messy, exhausting, and absolutely worth it!

Disclaimer: the background was already printed on the paper! ;) :) :D

I was going to use a picture of my grandson, but I’m doing Winnie the Pooh for him, and I wanted to use these stickers that I’ve had forever. I love this picture!

On our 3 week drive along the old Route 66 (Chicago to Santa Monica Pier) this was one of our favorite restaurants. We were heartbroken to learn they did not survive COVID and are permanently closed. The mixed media is white ink splatters.
