Cookin' Up Creations

From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere - and that's exactly what you're going to find this month at Cookin' up Creations. This month, all our challenges will be based on Everything Seuss and all the fun quotes, books and characters that we've all grown to know and love.


For this challenge I chose the book, If I Ran The Circus.



When you think of a circus, you think of a big tent filled with people and a mix of animals, clowns and trapeze artists flying in the air. So for this challenge I want you to use the sketch below created by Kelly Holifield for Sketch N Scrap. I want you to add some mixed media to your background using mists, inks, paints or stamps. I also want you to include a banner, a ticket stub and food. It can be someone eating, a plate of food or food stickers or die cuts.



And here's my layout. I chose to rotate the sketch to accommodate my photo.



As always, a new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

I used Vicki Boutin texture paste on a stencil and then punched out the triangles
