Let’s get scrapping, Monkees fans! Whether you’re using vintage vibes, bright ‘60s colors, or a mix of modern and retro, let these themes bring a little extra joy to your scrapbooking journey. And remember—keep on Monkeeing around!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

Today your challenge is about taking a Special Journey. It might be a personal journey you've gone through. It can be a walk, a road trip, etc. Add some sequins, a frame, and some stencil work.

I documented our trip to the Philippines, my first trip back since I was three years old and we moved to the US.
I used the open wood veneer pieces as frames, and I have star and circle sequins. The stencil work ended up messy, but it's a "starry night" stencil with gold texture paste.
