when did you start scrapbooking? What was the event or invitation that got you started?

I started about 25 years ago when my friend invited me to a CM party. I wanted to scrap the photos of my kids. It started as a small hobby when I went to crops and has evolved into an obsession with a space in my walk in closet where I scrap whenever I can

I started just like you, Phillis, I was introduced to Creative Memories, I wanted to scrapbook my boys.

Back in 2006 I started working for Michaels and attended a card class. Then went to a scrapping class/crop and never looked back.

I scrapbooked as a teenager SO many years ago (over 50 years). I did a "Date book" of all the dates I went on. Since they were far and few between it was easy to keep up. I saved paraphernalia like napkins, restaurant business cards etc. Yes I still have the book. It evolved to my wedding book and then I just started scrapping our life together to kids coming along and so on.Super crazy I know!!

I started out as a card maker using Stampin’ Up stamps. Eventually started an 8.5x11 album and using my stamps to create a backgrounds for my layouts. Later I was invited to a Creative Memories workshop. Once I visited Micheal’s for the first time, that was it, I was hooked.
