Do you carry your own shopping bags when you go out shopping?

Yep! We get charged for bags ($0.10 each) and they only offer paper bags. I much prefer to use my own sturdy handled shopping bags!

Does anyone in the country not get charged for bags?

Yes I do. When our county stopped the use of plastic shopping bags, I purchased cute dog print bags to carry with me when I go out. Since then, our Walmart came out with a much thicker and reusable plastic bag. I don’t use them when I pick up an order from Walmart, but I use them pretty much every where else.

Only when I go to Aldi's. We have a group of ladies in our community who take the plastic bags and crochet them into sleeping mats for the homeless, so I usually save them up and then give them to my neighbor.

I use them at Aldi's and Publix. Like Patti, our community also makes sleeping mats from the plastic bags for the homeless so I give my plastic bags to them.

The only business in my area that charges for bags is Hobby Lobby.

Yes, we have several. Use them at the stores where you have to pay for bags and the Farmers Market.
