RQOTD Friday/Saturday August 16

Post by phillisw »

I was busy yesterday so here is my question:

When you have a busy schedule how do you manage all the things that need to get done?

I do what I think is the most important and put off what I can to another day ;)

A great resource to read is Tyranny of the Urgent. It deals with how we put off the important to do the urgent, and that it should be the other way around. Things like spending time building into your grandson rather than cleaning the house.

I try not to do everything all in the same day. For instance, I break up the household chores and just do one thing a day if I’m working on challenges, I will do a DT challenge and then I’ll switch to a challenge for the month and then I’ll go back to a project. I’m working on and rotate like that. I am fortunate that I do get to Scrapbook every day.

I break up my to do list so I don't have to do everything in one day.

Like you Phillis, I do the most important task first, the rest can wait until another day.
