cleaning crates, the dogs are going nuts at the fence. I walk over to the fence, yell at the dogs to be quiet a minute, and what do I hear? A few tiny meows. I go over to check it out, out pops a tiny malnourished black and white kitten. As I reach down to pick it up, it runs deeper into the woods. I went back out with food, but it didn’t seem interested. I ordered some replacement milk and a bottle that should arrive later this evening. Right now it’s running around inside the house, not one bit afraid of my 9 dogs.
Kitty slept all night cuddled in the bed covers. When it started moving around I got up and sat it in the litter box. It jumped out a couple of times, each time I picked it up and put it back in the litter box. I will feel better when I see it go to the box on its own. I’m afraid, we’re not there yet.
Jan, my son also rescued a black and white kitten that was stuck in the middle of a busy intersection. He was so mad because people were standing around watching the kitten laying on its belly and screaming, so he drove into the intersection, stopped his car which stopped all of the traffic, and picked up his new friend, LOUIE.
