Join us at Cookin' up Creations as we celebrate the wonderfully “imperfect” side of creativity. After all, just like a spotted elephant or a train with square wheels, every scrapbook page deserves a little love and a whole lot of sparkle.

So dust off those forgotten supplies, rescue those unfinished pages, and let’s give our “misfit” projects a happy home — one glittery layout at a time!
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
For this challenge, we’re celebrating those supplies that needed a second chance, the “misfit treasures” that someone else didn’t want or didn’t love, but found the perfect home on your page.
On my layout, I used rhinestones gifted to me by our friend Patti (she doesn’t like shiny things on her pages!), which fit the Misfit Toys theme perfectly. One crafter’s “unlikeable” is another crafter’s favorite!
Your Requirements:
1. Use a product that was gifted to you
(It can be something someone didn’t like, didn’t use, or passed on to you.)
2. Add something sparkly, white, or light colored
(rhinestones, glitter, foil, sequins, metallics, enamel dots, anything that brings light or light color!)
3. Include at least a snowflake or any winter-themed icons
(snowflakes, stars, winter berries, birds, etc.)
Can’t wait to see how you give a “misfit treasure” a brand-new home on your layout!
Here is my example. I used the rhinestones to create a circle on my page.
