Good Morning. How is everyone today? I'm happy that the "warmer" temps are melting our snow a bit. It is 26* The roads are good and the fields still have plenty of snow. I am volunteering at the Church Thrift Store today. It is a 5 hour shift. I am still trying to get my sewing machine to work properly. The tension was still off yesterday when I was trying to use it. I watched a video with some ideas on what to do to fix it. I will work on it again today. I still want to scrap. it's been a few days since I've been able to carve time out.
Phillis I know how frustrating that tension issue can become. Hoping it gets fixed for you today!
I have a dr. appt with the Urologist today to go over my CT scan from last Friday. She already gave me the script for the UTI a couple of days ago. Hoping it is a good appt.
I have a friend whose daughter just found out she has Stage 3 Breast cancer (and she just had a clear mammogram in April so it is disheartening. She has a 5 year old and a 8 year old. I am putting together kits of activities that the kids can do while she is resting on her chemo days. I have six so far but would like to get up to ten. I'm going to see what I can find at the Dollar store today. I'm thinking watercolors paints. I've already done puzzles, coloring book and crayons, modeling clay, pipe cleaners, balloons andI might decorate a composition book with their names so they can journal with fun pencils. I also have to run to a small golf course to get a gift certificate for a bucket of balls for the 14 year old. He is trying out for the high school golf team next year. The morning is mine so I best figure out a scrap page while I have an hour.
Tamara, so sorry to hear about your friends daughter.
Kyle and I headed to Columbia shortly after I got all the animals fed this morning. We stopped in a couple of thrift stores, picked up our Sam’s order and grabbed lunch at Wendy’s before heading home. Home resting until it’s time to feed the animals again.
