We don't have ANY chains on our island at all. But we do have very good restaurants here. My favorites are Dockside Cafe which is owned by some friends and has excellent food especially their homemade dessert made by a friend. But it's a pretty casual place. The other is only open in the summers and is part of a fishing lodge called Shelter Cove. This year that restaurant is only open for locals to pre-order and carry out. They're both on the water and have great views. We also have a really good pizza place but it's REALLY expensive. Worth the price but just like going to a really nice dinner for cost. So most of our pizza comes from the grocery store.

As for chains, I'm not real familiar with a lot of them anymore since we've been up here for 4 years now, but I LOVE Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel and I'm looking forward to finding a really good BBQ place!

Chain wise, we eat at Chick-Fil-A about 2 times a week. That place is a well oiled machine. It's the fastest fast food in my area. I think the pandemic only made them even more efficient!
We went to a chick-fil-a last night and made the same comment. They could really teach other businesses how to be efficent.

Big Al's Pizza and Wings--local place that makes a great pizza and salad. Best sweet Italian dressing ever.
Lou Malnatti's Pizza when in the Midwest---I buy the parbaked ones and take them home to NC
My son's smash burgers and fries--he's a chef.

It is literally quicker for me to drive to a neighboring city 15 minutes away for Chick Fil A than sit in a local fast food restaurant drive through 5 minutes away from my house and wait. They need to train the entire fast food industry on what fast food means!
