I have not been to a casino in a long time, but when I do go, I am always in awe of the card shuffling dealers. I usually find myself sitting at a Blackjack table and half the fun is watching the dealers do tricks with the cards before they deal me, what is likely, a crappy hand. Anyway, I decided to create a project based on shuffling. Since it is Sketch Monday, I used a sketch from Sketches in Time Week 3 from October 2024. I liked how the sketch required angled papers and/or painted elements, so I instantly thought of how cards are held when playing a game. Next, I "shuffled" around in my stacks of Halloween paper and found several sheets that I loved but never used and tried to incorporate as many as I could to follow along with the sketch. My challenge to you is to not only use the sketch, but also, "shuffle" some on your layout. Perhaps it's placing papers in such a way that it looks like holding a hand of cards. Or perhaps it's using pictures of a dance recital or a Prom/Homecoming where shuffling in the form of dancing occurs? The options are endless. As an added bonus, as your "shuffling" through your stash for papers, see if you can incorporate different brands or collections into your project. Mine contains three. I'm excited to see what you all create!
