A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

A card shark is defined as an expert card player...definitely someone you might see at a casino. When I think of an expert card player, I think of players...my daughter and her boyfriend. These two spend hours playing all sorts of card games. And when my husband and I play card games against them, they are lethal! So, for my Monday project, not only am I featuring this fun sketch from Lisa Hidy of Sketch N Scrap that was released on November 1, 2024, but also, I challenge you to feature a card shark, or an expert player, on your project. Perhaps you could feature a loved one playing a sport or activity that s/he loves? Or maybe you can focus on a musical performance or dance recital? Anything that features your "expert" is fair game! And as a final twist, use a non-traditional paper somehow on your layout. I chose to use beach/shark papers on my project to feature card playing rather than a traditional card theme print. I'm excited to see how you "attack" this challenge!
