On February 26th we Celebrate "National Tell a Fairy Tale Day" - But why not celebrate it all MONTH long?? This month we intend to do just that! Let's celebrate the folklore genre and the stories of magic, enchantments and mythical beings that all take place "Once Upon a Time".
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
For today's fairy tale challenge, I was inspired by fairy tale castles!
Castles play a major role in so many fairy tales. In October, my older daughter and I took a girl's trip to London, England where castles can be found all over the place. For this project, I decided to highlight pictures of her and I at an extremely historic and fascinating castle, The Tower of London. We learned so many fascinating facts and took so many incredible pictures during our time exploring this castle. My challenge to you today, is to not only use this fun sketch from the design team Sketch n Scrap, but to also feature a "castle" in some way on your project. Perhaps it's a project about your home? Or maybe it's a place that you treasure visiting? The possibilities are endless. Often castles have a circular moat protecting them from invaders. As an added bonus, add circles in some way on your project. I'm excited to see your take on this challenge!
