Welcome Home18 viewsThis page is about my mom and her home - she had lots of water damage when her pipes burst during this February's Texas ice storm.
Mom JUST moved back in to her house in June (3+ months for renovations!). The house required lots of new stuff - flooring, paint, cabinets, etc. Even now, there are still some finishing touches and insurance issues to resolve, BUT last week, for mom's bday, we were able to celebrate her and her "new" home.

Expectation vs. Reality21 viewsWhen my family and I were on a hike in Yosemite this summer, Mirror "Lake" did not meet expectations (pretty much a pond now!). But, we did have a good time together on the scenic, shady hike, and a duck came up to us in the lake/pond...just a reminder to enjoy the journey and make the most of it!

But on our trip to Washington national parks this month, we saw dozens of people wearing the same style hats! Cut to this week, when our neighbor told my husband, "I didn't recognize you because you looked like an old man in that hat." Ha!
